The Snow Queen is set to thrill audiences of all ages at Cumbria’s Upfront Puppet Theatre.
An original production from the theatre, near Hutton-in-the-Forest, it includes different puppet types, special scenic effects, projected moving images and a revolving stage.
The musical score is based on Russian folk music.
Gerda sets off on a magical journey to rescue her lost friend Kai from the clutches of the Snow Queen.
This adventure takes us on the river, to an enchanted garden with talking flowers, to a robbers’ castle and onwards through many places until we reach the palace of the Snow Queen.
Suitable for ages four to 94, it is at Upfront Puppet Theatre on December 18, 21-24 and December 28-30. All shows start at 3pm.
