Penrith picked up another valuable point on the road when they drew 0-0 at Seaham Red Star.
A 1-1 draw at Sunderland RCA last week, backed-up by this point sets-up the Bonny Blues for three more successive away games.
Manager Darren Edmondson said: “We just have to roll-up our sleeves and get on with it because February, going into March is going to be a defining period for us.
“I suppose I would have taken a point before the game but the way it panned out with them having a man sent off 30 minutes from the end I’m a little disappointed we couldn’t take advantage.
“However, I’ve been in football a long time and playing ten men doesn’t guarantee anything.
“They were a big side who got forward well so for us to stand-up defensively and collect another clean sheet was a massive positive.
“In fact we stayed on their tail, two points behind and five games in hand so they are very much in our sights.”
Penrith, who stay next to bottom but with matches in hand on everyone in the League, switch to the Fred Conway County Cup next Saturday when they visit Keswick.
They then go to bottom side Thornaby on the Wednesday and follow up on February 18 at Crook Town who are four points better off but from three more games.
