Kendal Town suffered a disappointing 3-0 defeat at Winsford United last night, undone by two goals early in the second-half.
They had turned round 1-0 behind and the game was taken from them as Winsford scored twice within the first six minutes of the second half.
Overall, though, it was a scrappy game and both sides tended to struggle form control on a pitch which proved very uneven and prone to frequent bobbles of then ball.
The Kendal defence were caught out by a low ball into the box on 19 minutes from which Dan Boden gave his side the lead.
The Mintcakes first effort on goal came two minutes later but Flynn’s header was straight at the home keeper Arran Lyons.
Ryan Winder was Kendal’s most effective player, whipping in some good crosses from the right but apart from Flynn’s effort nobody could get on the end of them.
Winsford scored a minute after the resumption when Gabriel Mooney-Monoz’s effort found the net with the help of a deflection.
Then on 51 minutes it was vitually all over when Nathan Cotterell notched a third for the hosts.
Winsford also hit the bar on 70 minutes and Kendal were restricted to two well worked chances for Tom Kilifin and Brandon Croskell-Robinson but both shot well wide.
Kendal are at home to AFC Liverpool on Saturday in another Premier Division game.
