The Wright brothers will be ‘flying’ together again next week in a special event at Plymouth.

Former Workington Comets duo James and Charles Wright will be teaming-up for Somerset in a four-team tournament for Paul Starke’s Testimonial meeting at the Coliseum next Tuesday.

The tournament involves clubs Starke has represented throughout his career, and all of the 2023 Gladiators riders are included.

Starke himself will represent Cradley, who he helped to back-to-back NDL titles in the mid-2010s, whilst Plymouth co-promoter Matt Bates is to come out of retirement and race for Somerset.

Another former ex-Comet, Barrow-born Adam Roynon will be a member of the Cradley quartet while former Workington rider Kyle Howarth is in the Plymouth line-up.

Cradley: Paul Starke, Alfie Bowtell, Adam Roynon, Max Clegg. Poole: Richie Worrall, Danyon Hume, Kyle Newman, Ben Trigger. Plymouth: Ben Barker, Dan Gilkes, Jake Turner, Kyle Howarth; Somerset: Charles Wright, James Wright, Lee Complin, Matt Bates.
