Miterdale Duchess took the senior trail at Cobra Castle last night, highlighting the kennel form of Denis Pear and Jackie Gill.
The pair have started where they left-off last season maintaining a consistent presence in the tickets with both their hounds Miterdale Duchess and Hawkswood.
The latest win took Miterdale Duchess to joint second place in the senior championship alongside Rex the Rocket and Huntsman’s Quartz, while Hawkswood heads up the veterans points competition.
James McClelland’s Duchess Ava, runner-up in last season’s Championship was second on the night with Lucky Lottie, for Geoff Higgins in third.
Lucky Lottie is seemingly adjusting well after moving up from the pups to senior company although towards the end of last season was starting to show some promise following a slow start to her puppy campaign.
The puppy trail went to the in-form Mel, owned by Graham Reid, coming through strongly to win from Glamorous Ava, owned by James McClelland.
Pigron Bill finished third for Jonty and Evie Moore and Jack Thompson, followed by a trio of Foxparke hounds. On the night the kennel picked up eight tickets across the three trails.
Graham Reid went on to complete a double in the final All-In trail as Strawberry Mick came in first from Foxparke Whoosh and Blue Diamond.
