The Financial Management Bureau team

A Kendal financial management company has been named as one of the best to work for in the UK for the sixth time in a row.

Financial Management Bureau was given the award at the Professional Adviser awards on April 25 at a ceremony at The Hilton London Bankside.

The awards, organised by Professional Adviser magazine, recognise firms from across the country following a rigorous process involving an external assessment and employer and employee questionnaire.

FMB was one of only 36 companies to receive the award out of more than 500 across the UK.

It was also nominated in the categories of Adviser Firm of the Year – North West, Best Adviser Firm for Vulnerable Client Care and Best Client Engagement (Advisers), while financial planner Alice Wilkinson was also nominated for the Newcomer of the Year Award.

FMB managing director Liz Beavis said: “Success at the Professional Adviser awards is particularly satisfying due to the high bar they set for winners. So to be named as one of the best firms to work for six times in a row really is a great testament to the firm.

“We go out of our way to make everybody feel valued and involved, as well as developing our people through training and running social and charity events throughout the year to bring them together. It’s fantastic to see that this is paying off.”
