Barrow Raiders were beaten 30-16 at London Broncos as the hosts ground out the victory.
Most of the first-half had been played in the Raiders half after they had shocked the Broncos by taking the lead.
On 11 minutes a kick to the corner deceived the home defenders and Luke Broadbent nipped in to make the touchdown.
Ryan Shaw added the conversion but by half-time the Broncos had established a 16-6 lead.
Barrow had defended manfully in spite of heavy pressure on their line and it took until the 25th minute for them to reduce the arrears with a try.
Ethan Natoli had enough room to make the line but the conversion attempt came back off the upright.
The Barrow defdence was breached again after 33 minutes when Bill Leyland scored by the posts and Oli Leyland added the extras.
Paul Crarey would have liked to get his side in then because 6-10 under the circumstances would have been a good effort, albeit defensively.
But three minutes from the break Barrow were really exposed after some slack play allowed Iliess Macani too much room and he scored a simple try, converted off the touchline by Oli Leyland.
As they had done in the first-half the visitors were first to score when play resumed. Two minutes into the second-half. New loanee Keanan Brand had a hand in the score as he was found by a cut out pass and in turn he put Shaw over for the try. His conversion attempt came back off the post.
It was a positive start from the Raiders but they suffered a blow on 51 minutes when Ryan Johnston was sent to the sin bin for a push at the play-the-ball.
During his absence London scored again with some poor tackling allowing Oli Leyland in from ten metres and he converted for a 22-10 lead.
On 63 minutes Barrow conceded again. Jarred Bassett sliced through the Barrow defence all too easily from 20 metres and the conversion was good.
Barrow then had a good spell of pressure and were rewarded on 70 minutes with a try from Danny Langtree which Shaw converted.
It was now a 12-point game going into the last ten minutes and it was too late for Barrow when the Broncos put over a penalty two minutes from time.
