New canoe polo venue at Killington Lake

A new outdoor canoe polo venue has been created in the South Lakes.

The venue, at Killington Lake, will be used to run coaching and training sessions, referee courses and local tournaments.

It has been set up by Cumbrian Canoeists, with help from British Canoeing and the organisation hopes to set up regional teams.

Weekly beginner sessions will start on June 27 from 6.30pm to 7.30pm and no previous experience or kit is required.

Participants need to be 11 years old-plus.
