
A man has been taken to hospital after he came off his motorbike in Whitehaven.
Emergency services including the Great North Air Ambulance and police were called to the area of Burnmoor Avenue in Mirehouse last night, June 20, at around 8pm.
A spokesman for the Great North Air Ambulance said: “Yesterday our critical care team was activated at 8pm to reports of a road traffic collision in Whitehaven.
“We had a doctor and paramedic on board our aircraft and they arrived on scene at 8.40pm.
“Our team worked alongside the North West Ambulance Service to assess and treat a patient and they were taken to hospital by the North West Ambulance Service road crew.”
