After their success in Holland earlier this year two senior Cumbrian hockey players have struck more gold.
Keith Richardson (Carlisle) and Jeff Jackson (Windermere) were playing for England’s Over 70s in the Hockey World Masters European Cup in Valencia.
Keith skippered the LX Over-70s as they beat Holland 1-0 in the final to earn the gold medals.
Teams from various nations were taking part in the different age groups and in fact six Cumbrians were involved in the event.
For apart from Keith and Jeff, England B Over-65s were managed by Mike Patton of Keswick and Andy Bradbury (Carlisle) was a member of that team.
Andy Holden (South Lakes), who is 82 years old, played for England LX Over-75 while Mark Kendrick of Windermere officiated as an umpire.
England B finished with a bronze as did the LX Over-7%s team.
