A South Cumbrian Christian hotel will celebrate its 50th birthday with a special concert.
Thornleigh, on the Esplanade in Grange-over-Sands, will welcome singer Jonathan Viera for an audience with-style evening on Saturday August 26.
The hotel was established in 1973 and its team has also been painting many items in the building in gold to mark the anniversary.
Jane Walmsley has been the general manager for 15 years. She said: “Thornleigh prides itself on being a home away from home for our guests – so much so that often people make their next booking before they’ve even left.
“We hope people will join us in celebrating 50 years and looking forward to the next 50 too.”
The concert will take place at the Victoria Hall in Grange-over-Sands.
Thornleigh offers accommodation for Christians of all denominations wanting to visit to the area.
The hotel has 31 en suite rooms, including singles, conference facilities, and has a large garden just across the Esplanade where guests can enjoy the outdoor space.
Along with the concert and the gold décor, the hotel has also added a golden banquet to its programme for the year taking place every Tuesday for guests.
