Dan Bewley returns to a full-strength Belle Vue side for tonight’s trip to Ipswich.
The West Cumbrian star and the Aces number one sat out the closing stages of the narrow defeat at Wolverhampton on Monday after a heavy Heat 11 crash.
Having raced in Sweden on Tuesday, Bewley lines up as normal for the Aces who lead the Sports Insure Premiership in pursuit of another title.
Aces boss Mark Lemon said: “After Dan’s crash on Monday, we’re relieved to say he’s fit and ready for this fixture and we’ll need all the boys to be on point because this won’t be an easy night.
“We’re getting down to the business end of our campaign and with the effort the boys have put in these past few months, we have at least one foot in the play offs at this point.
“We have seven meetings left to race and we fully intend to make the most of each one, and Ipswich is a place we have proven track record for success.”
The two sides meet twice in five days as tonight’s Foxhall clash is followed up by the return in Manchester on Monday, and they are also crucial fixtures for the Witches who are looking to make ground on the top four.
Ipswich manager Ritchie Hawkins, a former Workington Comets rider, said: “We are looking to win the meeting and we need to. Yes, it is a tough test, but we need to show our fighting spirit to bounce back from Monday.
“We need to go into every meeting now desperate for every point. The first priority is to win the meeting, but we need to put ourselves in a good position going to Belle Vue to try and gain the aggregate point.”
