Kendal Town crashed out of the FA Cup after an encouraging first-half display against NPL East side Consett.
They had taken the lead on the stroke of half-time through Steve Yawson and it was an advantage they deserved.
But the visitors stepped-up a gear in the second-half and scored two in four minutes to change the mood in the stadium.
Former Workington striker Scott Fenwick scored two more in the last quarter of an hour to earn Consett a second trip to Cumbria as they will meet Penrith in the preliminary round.
Kendal boss Jimmy Marshall said: “I was really pleased with the first-half. It was a game where two teams were both at it, playing some decent football and I thought we deserved to be in front.
“But second-half Consett showed their quality and why they are an NPL side. In the end, though, I don’t think it was a 4-1 game as we had several chances and hit the woodwork twice in the second-half.”
Chairman Michael O’Neill agreed: “I thought the fact that we had played twice in the League and they hadn’t might have made a difference.
“But after a very good performance in the first-half we were second best after half-time, although we did create a number of really good chances.
“I think it was the fact that they scored two in three minutes early in the second half which really changed things, starting with the mood in the stadium.”
Zak Atkinson (53) and Ben Ramsey (56) scored the goals which turned the game Consett’s way. Fenwick added a brace in the 76th and 88th minutes.
