Carlisle are still ahead in the race for the Cumbria League Premier Division title – on a day when Cockermouth slipped out of the contest.
Workington are just about still in it but their hopes were severely hit by a home defeat to Furness in a rain affected thriller.
Carlisle beat Millom by six wickets at Edenside in a game that was also spoiled by the rain.
The home side asked the south Cumbrians to bat first but they only got in 34 overs by which time they had scored 116-8.
Tom Wilkinson (27), Graham Dawson (21) and stand-in pro Bryce Street (20) did the bulk of the scoring.
Fraser Conn (2-11) and pro Michael Slack (2-17) were the pick of the Carlisle bowlers.
Marc Brown (59no) adopted the sheet anchor role for Carlisle after losing opening partner Nico Watt (21) and they reached 118-4 from 33 overs.
Street took 2-19 and Robbie Wilson had 2-34 for Millom who took two points home with them.

Cockermouth’s bold bid to beat Egremont and the weather backfired when they lost out to a revised home target – a defeat which surely ends their outside hopes of pulling off a miracle Championship win.
After making 147-4 in 36 overs skipper Matthew Sempill declared but the weather intervened again and Egremont’s revised target became 79 in 21 overs.
Gareth White (67) and Alex Grainger (49) were the main run-makers for Cockermouth with home pro Vathsal Govind (2-39) the leading Egremont bowler.
Matthew Hunter (31) and Ollie Wilford (26) got Egremont away to a 50-run start and they went on to win from there at 79-4. Sam Sharp took 2-16 for Cockermouth.
The top four now reads – Carlisle 127, Furness 124, Workington 113, Cockermouth 103 – with six games to go.
Egremont, meanwhile, are basking in a top six position after last season’s successful battle to avoid the drop.
There is a significant change at the bottom after Haverigg gained four points from the rained-off game with Whitehaven.
Cleator didn’t earn a single point in their defeat at Keswick and are now bottom of the Cumbria League for the first time in their history.
Keswick’s isn’t traditionally the driest spot in the Cumbria League’s widespread territory but they got more play on Saturday than anywhere else.
Cleator took the decision to insert Keswick and the home side responded by reaching 227-7 in a full 50 overs.
Stephen Hindmarch and Ben Sharp both made 22 but it was really a whirlwind 99 not out from Paul Hindmarch that got them as many as they ended-up with.
He only faced 77 deliveries and struck seven fours and seven sixes.
Abdul Muzammill took 3-33 from his ten overs for Cleator.
The Cleator batting has been pretty fragile all season and so it proved as Darren Clarke (18) top-scored with Muzammill (16) and James Rogers (11) the only other batsmen in double figures.
They were all out in 38.1 overs for 98 with Dan Gaskell the most successful bowler with 3-18 from nine overs.
Rain affected the other game in the south of the county where Wigton were winners by four wickets at Lindal Moor.
Lindal Moor were put in to bat and made 140-8 in their innings which was restricted to 35 overs.
Abe Brown (22) and Brad Stephens (20) were the leading run makers for Lindal with the wickets shared around between John Reed (2-24), Lewis Little (2-27), Glen Liddle (2-34) and Chris Hodgson (2-35).
Kieran Little (54) held the Wigton reply together and mainly with support from Hodgson (26) they reached 141-6 off 34 overs.
The bottom of the table looks like this – Lindal Moor 64, Haverigg 61, Cleator 58.
Cockermouth bounced back from the disappointment of crashing out of the title race by reaching the Higson Cup final.
They beat Workington on Duckworth Lewis at Sandair when looking firmly in control before the rain came.
Workington had won the trophy for the last two years and were bidding to become the first team ever to win it three years in a row.
After a crucial defeat by Furness in the League it completed a dismal week-end for the Valentine Ground side.
Although Workington lost Tom Fox early they got to 50 before losing their second wicket, crucially Kiwi amateur Davis Mills (10).
But from 50-2 Workington collapsed to 83 all out in 35.1 overs with only opener Jake Daniel (25) and skipper Matty Lowden (18) offering any sort of resistance.
Alex Grainger posed most problems with 4-14 but Sameer Sadamal (2-14) and Matthew Siddall (2-13) also chipped-in to cause havoc among the Workington batsmen.
When the players were forced off by ra8in, and never had the opportunity to get back on, Cockermouth’s openers were still together after 18 overs and had taken the score to 60-0.
Grainger was 32 not out and Gareth White was on 21 not out. That was good enough to get them into the final where they will play Furness.
