A South Cumbrian park is holding an Apple Day next month.
Ford Park, in Ulverston, is holding the event on October 7 and will include family activities, crafts, children’s games, stalls, food and drink and apple pressing.
People can bring their apples to be pressed – with a maximum of 10kg per person – and compost will be available for people to bag and take home for a small charge.
For the first time, an apple bake-off will be held and people are asked to bring their homemade apple inspired cakes, bakes, puddings and preserves to bid to be named the first Apple Day Bake Star Baker!
Apple Day runs from noon to 4pm and admission is free, although donations to Ford Park Community Group can be made at the entrance.
