Two people were treated for smoke inhalation after a chip pan fire at their north Cumbrian home.
Four fire crews were called to South Bank Close, Wigton, at around 12.30pm today, September 27.
A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “The fire was confined to the kitchen area and was extinguished by firefighters on the scene. It is believed the fire originated in a chip pan.
“Both occupants were assisted out of the property by firefighters in attendance, and were transferred into the care of the North West Ambulance Service where they received treatment for smoke inhalation.”
