The A689 bypass was partially blocked heading west out of Carlisle due to an overturned lorry.
Police are at the scene and advising drivers to take an alternative route.
The overturned lorry is on the Cargo roundabout between the Etterby and Burgh Road Industrial Estate exits.
The incident happened at about 12.20pm yesterday, Tuesday, October 3.
