Wigton gained early revenge for a narrow defeat at Penrith 2nds when they won the return 54-24.
The game at Lowmoor Road had started well for the home team when scrum-half Fergus Ledingham finished-off some good team play and Rocco Okesene added the extras.
For the next 25 minutes Wigton dominated possession and territory but due to a combination of some excellent defence by Penrith, some poor handling and decision-making, there was no further score until nine minutes before half-time.

At the start of the second-half Richard Jackson scored the fifth Wigton try, again converted by Okesene.
Penrith then started to win some good possession and field position which led to their first try.

For the next ten minutes Wigton dominated again, scoring two tries through Marry Harrison and skipper Ryan Wannop, both converted by Okesene.
The last 15 minutes of the game belonged to Penrith who showed great spirit in scoring three more tries, converting twp of them.
Will Morgan (2), Craig Tyson and Josh Dowson scored the Penrith tries and Kyle Ryder landed two conversions.
Jonathan Dodd was chosen by match sponsors D A Harrison as man of the match.
