Keswick Ladies Development team hosted Wigton 2nds on Saturday and it proved a tough test as they eventually went down 6-0.
The visitors took a hold on the game from the start which they never relinquished, even though there weren’t many goals in the first half.
Wigton took the lead after only two minutes. Keswick had conceded an early short corner from which Sam Morrison fired the ball past the advancing Keswick defence for the opening goal.

Keswick’s youngsters did make life uncomfortable for the more experienced Wigton side, with Evie Youngman and Honey Ward making good yards running and also making some good tackles.
The score stayed the same until the 30th minute when Isabella Wilson doubled the visitors lead for a 2-0 half-time lead.
After the break Wigton carried-on with the majority of possession, when some good running from Amy Fisher and Beth Dowell caused problems for the home defence.

On 12 minutes Sam Morrison scored her second. Milly Waning then scored Wigton’s 4th after 20 minutes, and more Wigton pressure saw Kaye Beaty score on 30 minutes and just before full time Milly Waning scored her second.
