Giving his thoughts head coach Jonty Gorley said: “Pez is an experienced player and knows what his job is regardless of where I play him. He often says “where at this week Jont?”, my answer is always “could be anywhere Pez”.
“He’s really a middle now he’s older but has played backrow and centre for me.
“Wherever Pez does play he always does a good job, he’s tough and uncompromising and I like the way he goes about his game. So to have Pez for another year will only add to my squad.”
An amateur with Barrow Island, Singleton first signed for Workington Town in 2017 and spent three seasons at Derwent Park. He won the club’s Coaches’ Player of the Year award in his maiden campaign with Town.
He did have a spell at Barrow after work commitments interfered with his travelling to Town training, before eventually returning permanently to Derwent Park.
