Rugby union in Cumbria takes a break on Saturday for the World Cup final.
England might not be involved but this Saturday was declared a no-League weekend by the RFU at the start of the season.
There will be no League games or friendlies on Saturday but three youth games have been arranged for Sunday,
Two Cumbria age group County Cup games will be played at Under-14s level – Egremont v Kirkby Lonsdale and Cockermouth v St Benedict’s.
There’s also an Under-18s friendly – Cockermouth v Wigton.
Several of the clubs in the county will relish a blank Saturday. Penrith have had a host of injuries and will see this as a chance to allow healing to take place without the pressure of a game.
Carlisle, who lead Counties 1 Cumbria, have also had a glut of injuries and have not trained during the week.
