There’s a special game taking place in West Cumbria to mark Remembrance Day on November 11.
Kells have arranged to play the British Army on the Pit Field with a 2.30pm kick-off.
In fact it will be the second game of the day as beforehand, with a 12.30pm kick-off the Army’s Development side will take on the Royal Air Force Regiment.
Kells coach Peter Smith said: “We played them last year in a pre-season game and have stayed in touch.
“A few weeks ago we talked about another game and it was decided to play it on Remembrance Day.
“There will be a collection on the day, our shirts will be auctioned off and the proceeds will go to the army. It should be a good day.”
