Teams across Cumberland will be lacing up to keep up the support for LGBTQ+ inclusion as the Rainbow Laces campaign enters its 10th year.
During this time, over a million people have laced up to show that they believe sport should be everyone’s game.
Almost 200 rainbow laces have been allocated to Cumberland FA-based teams and clubs with this year’s campaign having a focus on Lace Up to Keep It Up as well as on-going support to LGBTQ+ communities.
The campaign will run between November 25 and December 10.
A County FA spokesman said: “We’re challenging the Cumberland Football community to take part in the Stonewall #KeepItUp Challenge to share with the world what your team or club are going to do to Keep Up for LGBTQ+ inclusion.
“A number of Cumberland FA staff will be taking part in the 10-second keep up challenge, so we’re challenging all teams to have a go at the 10 second #KeepItUp Challenge and share across social media. Even better to share the message on how you will ‘keep up’ for LGBTQ+ inclusion! Tag us @CumberlandFA.”
