A new trustee has joined Age UK West Cumbria.
Rachel D’Souza, a senior associate on Burnetts Solicitors’ wills, trusts and probate team, will help guide the charity in its work to support older people in Allerdale and Copeland with issues like loneliness, financial worries and living independently.
Rachel said: “I am delighted to now be a Trustee for Age UK West Cumbria. I have already been very impressed with what Age UK West Cumbria offer to our local community and look forward to working with them going forward.”
Jane Mindar, chief executive of Age UK West Cumbria, added: “We are delighted to announce the appointment of Rachel D’Souza to our board as she brings with her not only bags of enthusiasm, but legal knowledge which we believe will enable us to provide new enhanced services which are vital to the development of our charity and to support older people in West Cumbria.”
