Carlisle City were thwarted by the weather as their Northern League clash at Sunderland RCA was postponed.
A frozen pitch put paid to the Division One fixture yesterday, Tuesday, as the whole seven-match programme was wiped out by the cold snap.
City were looking to continue their climb up the table and strengthen their claims for a top five finish.
They have been able to strengthen their squad as they step up their top five push by taking two young players on loan from Carlisle United.
Goalkeeper Jacob Barry and forward Romeo Park, both in their second year with the youth squad, have been signed on work experience loans.
Park, 18, who scored for the first team in a pre-season friendly with Gretna also joined the seniors on the bench for the Bristol Street Motors Trophy game with Harrogate Town in November.
Barry, who has been first choice keeper for the club’s Under-18s, has not yet been included in a first team squad.
City are due to be in action on Friday night in a home game with Whitley Bay.
