Carlisle United won’t be in action today at Cheltenham after the League One game was postponed.
A pitch inspection was carried out by a Football League official and a decision was made to call off the game yesterday to avoid unnecessary travel.
It was being built-up as a must win game for both clubs as they struggle to break free of the relegation zone.
Manager Paul Simpson told the club website: “We’re obviously disappointed the game is off because it’s one we were looking forward to.
“We’d done all of our preparation for the game but we’d like to thank Cheltenham for making an early decision before we had set off. It also means the fans don’t have a wasted journey tomorrow.
“We now switch focus onto the Bolton home game next week which is another important game for us.”
