Barrow Raiders Ladies will start the 2024 Betfred Women’s Super League season with a trip to Wigan Warriors.

The first game of the season on Friday, April 19 is against head coach Amanda Wilkinson’s former club, with whom she won the first-ever Women’s Grand Final in 2018.

The Raiders Ladies are competing in Group 1 of the competition for the first time after being promoted through the play-offs last year.

The first home game is a cracker with defending champions York Valkyrie visiting Craven Park on Saturday 27 April.

The Raiders Ladies will also compete in the Betfred Women’s Challenge Cup group stages, having been drawn in Group 2 alongside Cardiff Demons, Salford Red Devils and Wigan.

The group stages of the competition will take place before the start of the league season, with a trip to South Wales first up as the Raiders Ladies visit Cardiff Demons. This game has provisionally been set for Saturday 16 March but is still subject to change.

This will be followed by a home game against Wigan on Sunday 24 March (2pm kick-off) and trip to Salford Red Devils on Sunday 7 April (also 2pm kick-off).
