Kendal Town have experienced a traumatic weekend because of the storms – marooned on the Isle of Man after being unable to fly home.
Players, officials and over 200 supporters had flown over for the North West Counties fixture against the Isle of Man – but were unable to return as planned because flights had been cancelled.
The last fans were able to return today and the club has reported that everyone is now home safely and looking to get back to the football with a home game against third-in-the-table Wythenshawe.
Chairman Michael O’Neil has spoken with Cumbria Crack about the problems they faced on the island as they tried to get home.
