Barrow Raiders coach Paul Crarey says his players are ready for a big test this afternoon at Wakefield Trinity.
Barrow Raiders make the trip to Yorkshire to take on the fallen Super League side in the quarter finals of the 1895 Cup.
Crarey said: “The players have trained really well this week. There’s a spring in their step and everyone really wants to test themselves against a side regarded as of Super League quality.
“It is going to be a challenge down there against a big, strong side and no doubt we will have some sore and aching bodies afterwards.
“But we will have a fortnight to get ready for the start of the Championship against Widnes and again, that’s something we will be looking forward to.
“It’s been a bit stop start so far between Cup matches but once the Championship gets underway it will be week-in-and-week-out.”
Barrow will be without Luke Broadbent through suspension but Tom Walker comes back into the squad after being out with injury since the first pre-season friendly.
A win for either team would see them away to the winners of Bradford Bulls and Swinton Lions in the 1895 Cup semi-final.
Trinity welcome back Mathieu Cozza and Thomas Doyle into the 21-man squad with Joe Law making his first appearance in the extended squad.
Toby Boothroyd drops out of the team after sustaining an injury in the Betfred Challenge Cup game against Hunslet ARLFC.
Former Whitehaven winger Lachlan Walmsley will be in the starting 13.
The Trinity squad is: Ma, Jowitt, Oliver Pratt, Lachlan Walmsley, Luke Gale, Josh Bowden, Liam Hood, Renouf Atoni, Matty Ashurst, Josh Griffin, Jay Pitts, Caleb Uele, Mathieu Cozza, Isaiah Vagana, Thomas Doyle, Jack Croft, Romain Franco, Myles Lawford, Harvey Smith, Joe Law, Noah Booth, Will Brough.ReplyReply allForward
