Cleator Moor Celtic Reserves moved top of the Cumberland County League Premier Division after a 6-3 win against Whitehaven Miners Social.
It proved to be an entertaining game after being moved to a Astro Turf pitch to give it the best chance of going ahead after the recent bad weather.
James Bell, Ellis Trotter and Lewis Close all scoted two each for Celtic Reserves. Lewis Park (2) and Paul McNally netted for Miners.
Whitehaven Miners Social can now focus on Tuesday evening when they travel to Brunton Park to face Carlisle United in the semi final of the Fred Conway Cumberland Cup.
They are one of two Cumberland County League clubs in the semi final of this tournament after Maryport Athletic booked their place with a 3-0 win over Windscale of the Wearside League.

They will now be at home to the holders Workington Reds in the other semi-final.

The rest of Saturday’s scheduled Cumberland County League action was postponed due to unplayable pitches.
