Carlisle United owners have given their backing for manager Paul Simpson ahead of what seems an inevitable relegation.
Family member Tom Piatek II has been speaking to the club’s official website and revealed their support for the United manager.
“We believe Paul is the right guy for next season, we’ve already started the planning process for moving into the summer window,” he said.
Plans are already being hatched to put United in a better position to recruit players and analyse the opposition.
The club have recently introduced StatsBomb – a high-quality sports data service – to assist with recruitment, opposition player analysis and more.
Piatek II said: “I’ve been involved in that a little with some of the recruiting team and analysts here.
“It’s a different way to look at things and we think the best way to do it is a combination of what we would call the old school way with scouts on the ground, eyes on players and stats.
“If you find the right mesh of those two, I believe that’s the best way to get the full picture and that’s what we’re hoping to do and what we want to do going forward.
“We’re learning new things in the system every day. It is a very in-depth system, complicated in some ways, but as you learn it, it does start to make sense and once we get it right, we think it’ll be something which will be very positive for the club going forward.
“We certainly hope it’ll help put us ahead of the game, we’ll start to identify players earlier and then we can go and have those live viewings and everything quicker and have maybe more of them before we have to make a decision.
“We definitely hope it’ll put us on the front foot in that regard.”
