Ford Park

Ulverston will be buzzing next month with Printfest and Ford Park’s Art in the Park as part of the town’s fringe.

This is the first of two Art in the Park events at Ford Park this year and local artists exhibiting include Peter and Marie Graves, Val Stangoe, Rebecca Bennett, Sarah Brown and Nisha Halo.

The garden will be open, as will the Beehive shop and plant nursery.

Art in the Park is held in the Williams Room, the Coach House Courtyard, Terrace and Walkway and motor enthusiasts will also be in their element this weekend.

The park’s Classic Car Show is taking place on the same day where you can talk to the owners and other enthusiast while enjoying some of the best classic and vintage cars and bikes in the area.

More than 70 vehicles have already registered.

There will also be a bouncy castle and face painter, plus plenty of food and drink vendors.

The event, on May 5 from 11am, is free to attend and any money raised from the sale of the stalls will support the Ford Park charity.
