Bikers can take advantage of advanced driving courses in Cumbria to make them safer on the road.
The new Cumbria Ride Safe programme is a partnership between the county’s fire and rescue service, RoSPA, Cumbria police and BEEP Doctors Cumbria.
Sessions will be held at Penrith fire station and Ulverston Blue Light Hub.
The sessions will cover advanced riding, first aid and scene safety at a collision. A RoSPA delegate will then take each of the participants out on a ride to observe their capability and suggest improvements for safer riding.
There are places still available on courses, which run from 10am to 4pm, at:
- Sunday, April 28 – Penrith Fire Station
- Sunday, May 12 – Ulverston Blue Light Hub
- Sunday, May 19 – Penrith Fire Station
- Sunday, June 30 – Ulverston Blue Light Hub
