Barrow slumped to a 32-6 home defeat by Doncaster and coach Paul Crarey didn’t offer any excuses afterwards.
“I wasn’t happy at half-time with how we were playing and were only four points down but we didn’t do enough in theb second-half.
“You have to grind out results in this League and get your kick and chase right but we didn’t do either,” he said.
It might have been a sign of things to come when Doncaster scored in the third minute, catching the Raiders sleeping in defence which allowed Brad Hey to go over for an unconverted try.
The second Doncaster try came on 26 minutes when the powerful Joe Lovodua barged over and Craig Hall added the extras.
Barrow needed something before half-time and they got it on 33 minutes when a lovely short pass from Tom Forber sent Ellis Gillam over for a try which Ryan Shaw converted.
The Raiders had to show great resolve in defence at the start of the second-half when Doncaster put on sustained pressure.
But after going close themselves when Greg Burke lost the ball near the Doncaster line the visitors hit back again and this time they broke through on 56 minutes.
Ben Johnston avoided two tackles to make the line and Connor Robinson converted.
On the hour the visitors were over again when Craig Hall sliced through a gap for a touchdown which Robinson converted.
Barrow, who only had nine second-half sets to Doncaster’s 20, fell further behind on 71 minutes when Pauli Pauli spun out of a challenge to make the line and Robinson converted from the touchline.
Three minutes from the end Reece Lyne burrowed his way through the bodies to make the line in the corner but Robinson failed to convert.
Then in the last minute, with Barrow well beaten, Doncaster gained field position and a slick handling move put Luke Briscoe over in the corner and Robinson converted.
