Human remains found in a Cumbrian wood have been officially identified.
Cumbria police said they have been confirmed as missing Annan man Paul Taylor.
The force revealed on May 2 officers found the remains as part of Operation Focus, the investigation into his disappearance.
They were discovered in the area of Finglandrigg Wood, off the B5307, near Kirkbampton, a village near Carlisle.
A police presence will be in the area for some time while officers continue with their work at the scene, a spokesman said.

People are asked to avoid the area to allow this work to continue.

Two people have been charged in connection with the murder of Mr Taylor.
Jack Crawley, of no fixed abode, has been charged with murder and Marcus Goodfellow, of Greystone Road, Carlisle, has been charged with assisting an offender.
