Sean Croston has left Workington Town to rejoin Newcastle Thunder in League One.
With limited opportunities in west Cumbria he was released and has re-joined one of his former clubs.
Croston played centre yesterday when Thunder were beaten 66-4 by one of his former clubs Midlands Hurricanes.
The 24-year-old former Westhoughton Lions junior joined St Helens, and came through their youth system before being offered a professional contract.
He went to university in Newcastle and joined Newcastle Thunder’s youth set-up before being promoted to the first team squad for the 2020 season.
Croston has represented England at junior level and also England Universities.
He has subsequently played for Whitehaven, Hunslet, Cornwall and Midlands Hurricanes.
