Arrests after series of West Cumbrian burglaries in one night

Four people have been arrested after a series of burglaries in West Cumbria which happened over one night.

Police are investigating the incidents, plus a number of vehicle interferences, which took place between 11pm on May 11 and 4.30am on May 12 in Workington.

They took place on Wesley Street, Rydal Street, Napier Street, Hillcrest, Burrow Walls and Corporation Road.

Police are appealing for anyone in these areas to check their CCTV and provide it to police should it contain anything of note.

The suspects in the case are men in full tracksuits with their hoods up and a woman in a black dress.

A 31-year-old man, a 16-year-old boy from Workington and a 25-year-old woman, all from Workington and a 27-year-old man from Whitehaven have been arrested.

All have been released on bail while police continue to conduct enquiries.
