Barrow has been selected as the new location for a PlayZone – and people are invited to have their say.
Westmorland and Furness Council is working with the Football Foundation to develop a PlayZone, which is a safe, inclusive and accessible outdoor facilities that aim to bring the community together through sport.
The project aims to tackle inequalities in physical activity and provide access to a high-quality community facility in a local, accessible space.
The council is looking to find out more about how people feel about the proposal and learn what needs to be included in the project to make sure it is suitable and beneficial to the local area.
The facility will be floodlit so it can be used in the evenings and can be booked in advance using an app, with electronic access provided to users.
The survey is now open and will close on Friday June 7. To have your say, visit https://surveymechanics.com/s/6D3F
The Football Foundation’s programme is backed by investment from the Premier League, the FA and Sport England.
