Cumbria have called up Roman Walker, the former Glamorgan and Leicestershire all rounder for the T20 finals day on Sunday.
Walker, 23, is a tall, seam bowler who made the headlines by taking 5-24 against India before he had made his County Championship debut.
Walker is still at Leicestershire but only played pre-season friendlies and second team this year. He also played one season for Wales Minor Counties before moving to the East Midlands.
The Wrexham born Walker comes into the side as a replacement for Cumbria’s skipper Michael Slack who has to miss out with a knee injury.
Cumbria will also be missing experienced Lancashire all rounder Steve Croft, although his young team-mate Harry Singh is in the line-up.
Matthew Sempill of Cockermouth takes over the captaincy from Slack as Cumbria prepare to take on Oxfordshire in the semi-final on Sunday morning.
Back into the Cumbria side for the first time since 2012 is Millom batsman and captain Graham Dawson. He first played for Cumberland 23 years ago.
Dawson has played 13 times in the Championship, between 2001-2012 and 12 in the One Day Trophy 2006-2011, but this will be his T20 debut.
The Cumbria team is: Sam Dutton, Freddie Fallows, Harry Singh, Matthew Sempill, Roman Walker, Greg Cameron, Graham Dawson, Finlay Richardson, Ed Moulton, Nico Watt, Sam Sharp. 12th Man – Josh Brown.
The winners will meet the winners of Staffordshire and Berkshire later in the day.
If Sunday is washed out, Bank Holiday Monday will be the reserve day.
