Whitehaven will look to back up a fine performance against Dewsbury when they visit struggling Halifax on Sunday.
Jonty Gorley’s team scored 30 unanswered points in the second-half to blow away the Rams after they had trailed at the break.
Jake Maizen returns for the game against his former club after the hamstring injury he suffered earlier this month proved not as serious as at first feared.
Australia-born Maizen, an Italian international, spent two seasons with Halifax before joining Whitehaven and he scored eight tries in 21 games for the Panthers.
Maizen comes back into the squad to replace Papua New Guinea international Edene Gebbie who has been handed a one-match suspension for a late challenge on a Bradford player.
Haven’s latest two loanees Gideon Boafo and Noah High are in the 17 players named for the trip.
Halifax head coach Liam Finn names his 21 man squad for Sunday’s home from home game with one change from last weekend’s outing at Wakefield when they lost 46-24. Ben Crooks is included after a long injury lay off with the recently departed Dorce-Hantz dropping out.
If selected for Sunday’s game, Kevin Larroyer will make his 300th career appearance while James Woodburn-Hall will make the 150th Appearance of his Halifax Panthers career.
Because of pitch work at the Shay, the game is being played at Wakefield’s DIY Kitchens Stadium with a 1pm kick-off.
