Workington Town coach Anthony Murray is said to be heading to Keighley Cougars next season on a two-year contract.
Murray is coming to the end of his second season in charge of Town, while Keighley have just sacked their coach Matt Foster.
The sacking of Foster was a major shock at the time with the Cougars sitting joint top of the League One table, matching strides with the big spending Oldham.
Town have just got out of the bottom three, and back into the play-off positions after a run of three successive victories, and have important games coming up against Hunslet and North Wales Crusaders.
Rugby League Daily came out with the speculation today but Town chairman Graeme Peers said: “We won’t be commenting on an unofficial and non-confirmed story.
“It’s business as usual and we have an important game at Hunslet on Sunday.”
What has been confirmed is that Town’s Maltese international full-back Zarrin Galea has been named League One player of the Month by Rugby League World.
Galea has turned in some impressive performances in recent games, winning man of the match accolades, and it’s no surprise that he has earned the award from the trade magazine.
Two other Town players are named in the team – hooker Matty Henson and second row forward Jake Bradley.
