A unique 70s time capsule home is on the market for £250,000 in Cumbria.

Located in Camerton, near Workington, the property is being sold by Mark Buchanan Property Group Powered by EXP – who said the home brings a little bit of 1970’s Californian single storey style to the area.

The modernist three bedroom bungalow is a rare find in Cumbria and boasts several stand-out throwback features including a vibrant retro kitchen, glass doors and wood panel ceilings.

While the property is chain free – the realtor added that however a buyer may choose to update or renovate it, a lot of work is required that is not for the faint of heart.

The home has its own drive and parking space built in front of a garage on the ground floor with steps leading to the first floor.

It also has a spiral staircase leading up from the garage to the conservatory attached to the lounge – which provides quicker access to the home for those wanting to park their car in the garage.

The main living space on the first floor is split into three main areas that can be seen from outside the house thanks to its unique shape.

Looking at the property from the front, the right hand side has a spacious lounge, conservatory and separate dining room complete with glass doors separating the rooms.

Both the living room and conservatory enjoy views over rooftops towards Lake District fells.

The middle section is home to the entrance – with a small toilet just off the hall – and the vibrant yellow retro kitchen.

The three bedrooms and shower room are all on the left hand side of the house, on a slightly raised level accessed via a few carpeted stairs fitted with lights from the hall.

All three bedrooms are sizeable and the shower room is the most modern room in the house.

It also has a low-maintenance paved terrace at the front of the home and a private walled garden at the side – which can be accessed through the utility room.

Situated less than 10 minutes away from Workington and only 20 minutes from Cockermouth – the realtor added that the property would make a great family home or holiday home or let.

The property is on mains electric, oil fired central heating, mains water and a septic tank for drainage.

Anyone interested in the property can call Mark Buchanan Property Group Powered by EXP on 01900 878350 to arrange a viewing.
