Barrow moved back into the automatic promotion places with a hard-earned 2-1 home win over Cheltenham.
They had to come from behind to win with a goal four minutes from the end by substitute Andrew Dallas, his first goal for the Bluebirds and such a timely one.
Cheltenham had not won away so far but they started well and keeper Wyll Stanway was tested early on by Tom Pett while Ryan Bowman almost capitalised on an error by the Barrow custodian.
Barrow’s only threat in the first half came when Kian Spence got in a header which was just wide.
Cheltenham made the breakthrough after 41 minutes when Stanway could only parry an effort from Ethon Archer and Cumbrian forward Bowman was on hand to knock in the loose ball.
In a lively finish to the half Chris Popov saw a good effort saved while there was still time for Bowman to bring a save out of Stanway.
Two minutes into the second-half Barrow were back on terms. Elliot Newby knocked-in a good cross from the left and Emile Acquah was there in front of Sam Stubbs to head powerfully home.
There wasn’t much in it after that but it was Dallas who won it for the Bluebirds when he drilled in the winner from Ben Jackson’s ball into the box.
