Egremont, relegated to the National Conference Division One for next season, are looking for a new coach.
Rhys Davies, who stepped up from being an assistant coach under John Wells when he stood aside a year ago, has left the Gillfoot club.
After a bright enough start to last season back in the Premier Division a crippling list of injuries had a devastating affect and Egremont fell away to finish bottom.
Davies, a former Egremont player, said: “I decided to stand down as coach as I wanted to spend more time with my family.
“We have another baby arriving in the new year so it made sense to do so.
“So coaching will be put on hold for a while now. I’ve no heard of any names yet who are in the frame for the job as the date for applications isn’t until November.”
Egremont made a first season return to the top flight after their last relegation and club officials will be looking for a similar response this time.
They were relegated alongside west Cumbrian neighbours Kells, leaving Wath Brow Hornets as the county’s sole representatives in the Premier Division.
