
Storm Ashley is making its way across Cumbria and flood warnings and alerts are in place for the county.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning until around midnight tonight as forecasters are predicting strong winds across Cumbria.
Electricity North West is putting plans in place to monitor the network and ensure supplies and teams are available to respond if the storm causes damage to overhead lines.
Flood warnings and alerts have also been issued for across the county.

High tides, strong winds and large waves are expected to cause flooding this afternoon.
Highest tide level is expected at 1.45pm. Flooding is possible several hours either side of this time.
Areas most at risk include West Shore Park, Biggar, Biggar Bank, Ocean Road, Carr Lane, Vickerstown Promenade and Rampside areas.
Stay away from beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads as large waves and sea spray could be dangerous.

Areas most at risk include Allonby, Maryport, Flimby, Workington, Parton and Whitehaven areas.

Gretna to Silloth including Port Carlisle, Skinburness and Rockcliffe

Flooding of roads and low lying land is possible, property flooding is not expected.
Rivers are responding to rainfall and flooding of low lying areas is possible. Rainfall is easing and will move away from the county from lunchtime today, when river levels will peak and start to recede.
Areas most at risk include Rivers Brathay, Rothay and Winster and other watercourses, from Grasmere to Grange-over-Sands including low lying areas around Ambleside, Skelwith Bridge, Windermere, Hawkshead, Newby Bridge, Backbarrow, Cark and Cartmel.
Debris from weed screens is being cleared and monitoring rainfall and river levels.
Flood alert area: Rivers Brathay, Rothay and Winster and other watercourses, from Grasmere to Grange-over-Sands including low lying areas around Ambleside, Skelwith Bridge, Windermere, Hawkshead, Newby Bridge, Backbarrow, Cark and Cartmel.
