Whitehaven have added another player to their squad from the community game.
Josh Blinkhorn from National Conference League side Millom is the latest to agree pro terms with Whitehaven foe the 2025 season.
The former Under 19s England Community Lions hooker had a stand-out season for the Millom club.
He was the Woollybacks leading try scorer in their NCL Division 2 season, scoring eight in 19 appearances, as well as being voted the club’s 1st team player of the year.
Blinkhorn (18) has also spent time in the Jets programme at Barrow Raiders as well as with Super League club Salford Red Devils but will wear Haven colours next season
Whitehaven head coach Anthony Murray said: “I’m delighted to offer Josh his opportunity into the professional game.
“He is another local player coming through the ranks at local Cumbrian club Millom who has also represented England Community Lions.
“Josh has a real desire and commitment to improving his game and has a real professional attitude and approach to what he does.
“I’m really looking forward to seeing how Josh develops in this environment and I’m very excited to see how he meets the challenges to play at this level head on.”
The Whitehaven club has expressed thanks to Millom for their support of Blinkhorn in making the step up to the professional game.
