Former CFM presenter Pete Moss is set to open a new bar in Carlisle.

Skool, on Devonshire Street, will be open six days a week celebrating old school dance music from the 90s and early 00s.

The site was previously home to The Temple tattoo studio, which is moving to Cecil Street.

Pete has been a regular DJ in the city centre for the last few years. He said:  “As Carlisle’s city centre modernises to focus more on becoming a social hub, Skool will provide those who have a love of classic old school dance tunes a place to enjoy them, reminisce and dance like they’re 21 again, day or night.

“Whilst DJing, it’s obvious that younger people also have a love for many tunes from this era of dance music and regularly request them.”

Pete will DJ live in the venue on Friday and Saturday nights and will be hosting a weekly quiz.

Pete Moss was a presenter on the local radio station CFM for 25 years, as well as hosting shows on BBC Radio Cumbria and CRFM more recently.

An opening date will be announced soon.
