
Police are appealing for witnesses following a single vehicle collision on the M6.
Officers were called at around 9.40pm on October 26 after reports of the collision on the M6 between junction 37 and junction 36 southbound.
The collision involved a blue Mercedes GLC.
The passenger was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The Great North Air Ambulance Service’s critical care team was also called to the scene. The charity said: “We had a paramedic and doctor respond on a critical care car and they arrived on scene at 10.42pm.
“They worked alongside the North West Ambulance Service to assess and treat a patient, and the patient was taken to hospital by a North West Ambulance Service road crew, accompanied by our team.”
The motorway was temporarily closed while a forensic collision investigation was carried out.
