While Workington Town Women overcame a two-goal deficit to beat Morecambe Women 3-2 at The Fibrus Community Stadium, the reserve team feasted on a glut of goals.
They were playing at Netherhall Rugby Club and they demolished Dalton United Arrows 20-4 to maintain their 100% record in the Lancashire League.
Rachel Gallagher helped herself to 14 goals, giving her a mind-boggling 31 goals in only six league games thus far this season. Leah Harrison and Emily Mitchell both scored two goals, with a goal each from Keira Clark and Marcy Thornthwaite.
Workington remain joint top of the league, just eclipsed by Abbeytown Ladies’ higher goal difference, although Town do have a game in hand on them.
Kira Boswell scored all four goals for Dalton, who remain second bottom of the table a point clear from Morecambe.
