A serious collision occurred on the A595 Distington bypass yesterday.
It is understood that several police cars, fire engines and the ambulance service were called to the incident at around 5.40pm.
It is understood it involved a single vehicle which had overturned.
The vehicle was recovered at around 7pm.
It appears no one was seriously injured.
